What is Patience Gin?

What is Patience Gin?

Patience Gin is an ultra-limited, seasonal gin produced by Patience Distillery, a small-batch distillery based in Kensal Green, London. Founded by Maxime and Holly, Patience produces four distinct seasonal expressions each year — Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter — each limited to exactly 100 numbered bottles per release.

Every bottle is hand-numbered, hand-labelled, and hand-wrapped at the distillery. Customers choose their own bottle number at the point of purchase, making each bottle a uniquely personal object.

How is Patience Gin made?

Patience Gin is produced using cold distillation, a rare technique that extracts botanical compounds at low temperatures under reduced pressure. This preserves delicate aromatic compounds that would be destroyed by conventional high-temperature distillation, resulting in a gin that tastes closer to the raw ingredient itself.

Each botanical is distilled individually at its own optimal temperature, vacuum pressure, and cut point. The resulting distillates are then precisely blended to create each seasonal expression. Every stage of production — distillation, blending, bottling, labelling, and wrapping — takes place in-house at the Kensal Green distillery.

What makes Patience Gin limited edition?

Each seasonal expression of Patience Gin is limited to exactly 100 bottles. Once a release sells out, it is gone permanently. A new expression is then created for the following season, using the same core seasonal botanicals — though like a wine vintage, the taste may vary subtly from year to year depending on harvest conditions, weather, and seasonal variation. Each release is a portrait of a specific moment in time, unrepeatable in its exact character.

What are the botanicals in Patience Gin?

Patience Gin uses carefully selected seasonal botanicals, chosen for their provenance, quality, and ability to evoke a seasonal mood. Each botanical is sourced with the same care with which it is distilled, with a focus on family suppliers and regenerative or organic growers where possible.

Spring 2026: A crisp, bright dry gin that evokes the first flush of seasonal growth. Fragrant lime, tender rhubarb shoots and wildflower honeycomb, elevated with a twist of sea salt for a clean mineral finish. 44% ABV. 50cl. 100 bottles.

Winter 2025: A full-bodied dry gin with a peppery finish. Clementine and classic seasonal spices, complemented by toasted hazelnuts for a beautifully smooth mouthfeel.

Autumn 2025: A soft and fruit-forward dry gin. British heritage apples, hand-selected berries and a hint of nuts and spice.

Summer 2025: A fresh and zesty dry gin with ripe grapefruit, married with mint, marjoram and other hand-picked seasonal botanicals for a perfect pop of summer flavour.
