Celebrating our Partners

A Winter Collaboration: Patience Distillery × Ateliers De France

As we look towards Spring, we're taking the time to pause and celebrate our most successul Winter season yet.

Winter 2025 brought us some wild, wet weather; new partnerships; and a gift collaboration of which we are truly proud. Last year, over the course of nine months, we worked with Ateliers De France to create a Winter gift that reflects the values both of our houses share: an appreciation for craftsmanship, a respect for materials, and the belief that the best work is rarely rushed.

Ateliers De France is internationally recognised for its dedication to the preservation of exceptional craft. Across architecture, restoration and construction, their teams bring together highly specialised artisans whose work spans historic monuments, contemporary projects and private residences around the world. Their philosophy is simple: work slowly, work carefully, and allow mastery of craft to guide the outcome.

It is an approach that felt immediately familiar.

At Patience Distillery, our own process is similarly deliberate. Each botanical is distilled individually at low temperature, allowing its character to emerge with clarity before being brought together into a seasonal composition. Like fine construction or restoration, the work is incremental and attentive. The goal is never speed, but precision.

For this collaboration, the focus was our Winter Expression.

Together we created a presentation that would honour the season and the spirit itself — a winter gift intended to feel thoughtful rather than extravagant, crafted rather than assembled.

At its centre sits the Winter Gin, presented within our seasonal presentation box. The interior artwork features Winter, a painting created especially for Patience by artist Conrad P Clarke. At first glance it appears as a quiet winter landscape, but within the branches and forms lie subtle references to the botanicals that shape the expression — small details that reveal themselves gradually, much like the gin itself.

Conrad is an award winning artist living and working in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. His work draws inspiration from the natural world around him and often focuses on the interaction between plants and their environment. By carefully layering bold and muted colours, as well as textures, pattern and delicate detail, he manages to encapsulate the beauty and complexities of different ecologies, as well as breathing new life into contemporary landscape painting.

Throughout the process, Ateliers De France approached the project with the same care they apply to their architectural work. Materials, printing, presentation and finishing were refined over many months, each element adjusted until it felt balanced.

The result is not simply a gift set, but a small collaboration between two houses that value craft and patience in equal measure.

A Winter expression, prepared properly.
